An advisory panel to the Food and Drug Administration has recommended that silicone gel-filled breast implants be reinstated after an 11 year ban. The panel was made up of plastic-surgery experts including practicing plastic surgeons. Are alarm bells ringing for you? One of those so-called experts was University of Texas plastic surgeon Michael Miller, who said afterwards: "The risks are well-defined and small. The patient can decide." But what if the patient is deciding based on false medical risk evaluations?

According to a lawsuit filed in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court, Dr. Irwin Willis, the surgeon who operated on Bee Gee Maurice Gibb is facing a malpractice lawsuit centered on treatment delay issues similar to concerns expressed by brothers Barry and Robin Gibb. Meanwhile, after an inconclusive autopsy result, as the Gibb family laywer flies to Florida to investigate, the prospect of court battle looms.

Leading Russian newspaper Pravda has frontpaged an article which says that weather disasters in Europe during 2002 were caused by an advanced weather modification weapon which could trigger a global catastrophe.

Yuri Solomatin, a member of the Ukrainian Parliment chairing the committee responsible for the Chernobyl cleanup, accuses the US --or elements within it's command structure-- of risking a global catastrophe with it's HAARP electromagnetic technology.
